Page To Stage
Storybook's Page to Stage Program brings our professional artist/teachers into the classroom for 8 one hour sessions to collaborate with teachers and students. The program is designed to better develop students' writing, reading, and oral presentation skills using a variety of different activities including the adaptation and transformation of literature from the page to the stage. Part of this program involves attending a Storybook production and an after-show discussion with the actors.
Pre-Show Workshop
Storybook workshops have been developed for teachers and educators who want to enhance their theatrical experience with an in-classroom workshop led by professional theater artists from Storybook Musical Theatre. These workshops are specifically designed for classrooms that are planning a field trip to attend one of Storybook's productions.
Professional Training Workshop
These Professional Training Workshops are staff development sessions to help educators build new skills in arts education by integrating drama into their curriculum. Lead by Storybook's Artist/Teachers, these workshops can help teacher's bring a creative, interactive and hands-on learning experience to their students.
Acting & Specialty Workshops
These workshops help students develop basic acting skills through the use of theatre games and activities. Some specialty workshops could include: movement and dance, musical theatre, improvisation, play writing, costumes and technical theatre. These types of workshops can be designed to fit the teachers needs. Artist/Teachers can come for one visit or do a residency program for the classroom.
